Perwakilan PBVSI Kabupaten Lingga yang juga ditunjuk oleh Disdikpora sebagai tim seleksi, Munzilin Hasibuan, mengatakan bahwa kegiatan ini merupakan tindak lanjut arahan dari Disdikpora Kabupaten Lingga untuk mempersiapkan tim terbaik menghadapi Popda 2026.
“Kami mendapat arahan dari Dinas Pendidikan dan Olahraga Kabupaten Lingga melalui Bidang Pora untuk melaksanakan seleksi atlet untuk Popda 2026 di Tanjung Balai Karimun, khusus untuk seleksi Popda tim bola voli putri,” ujar Munzilin Hasibuan saat diwawancarai di sela-sela kegiatan seleksi.
Menurutnya, antusiasme peserta cukup tinggi. Hingga pelaksanaan seleksi berlangsung, tercatat sebanyak 30 atlet muda telah mengikuti proses penjaringan.
“Sampai hari ini Alhamdulillah sudah diikuti 30 peserta terdiri dari Kecamatan Lingga, Kecamatan Singkep Barat, Singkep dan Singkep Selatan,” katanya.
Munzilin menjelaskan, tim seleksi melakukan penilaian secara menyeluruh terhadap kemampuan teknis maupun nonteknis para peserta.
Ada tujuh aspek utama yang menjadi fokus penilaian, mulai dari kemampuan dasar bermain bola voli hingga kedisiplinan atlet.
“Ada tujuh yang kita nilai, yaitu passing, blocking, smash, interaksi mereka saat game, disiplin, dan fisik,” jelasnya.
Dari hasil seleksi tersebut nantinya akan dipilih sembilan atlet terbaik untuk memperkuat tim bola voli putri Kabupaten Lingga pada Popda 2026.
Peserta yang mengikuti seleksi juga harus memenuhi persyaratan usia sesuai ketentuan yang telah ditetapkan oleh panitia penyelenggara.
“Sesuai arahan dari Dinas Pendidikan dan Olahraga melalui Bidang Pora, yang akan dipilih sebanyak sembilan orang dengan kategori kelahiran tahun 2009,” ungkap Munzilin.
Lebih lanjut, ia menambahkan bahwa atlet yang terpilih nantinya tidak langsung diberangkatkan. Mereka akan kembali menjalani pemusatan latihan atau training center (TC) guna meningkatkan kemampuan dan kekompakan tim sebelum bertanding.
